Chapter 1: I Can’t Move; It Won’t Budge

I can’t move my body. I can’t move at all. My eyes can’t open either.

What the hell!? It’s annoying!?

Someone’s here. I can feel something moving around me. I don’t know what it is because my eyes won’t open. What’s going on? It feels like I was caught by a kanashibari1.

Hmm? I also can’t breathe? This is bad. I guess I’ll really die at this rate.

Huff, Hu! Huff, Hu!

Shit, I really can’t breathe! Not good, the situation’s getting dangerous!

10 minutes after

Yup, I confirmed again that I can’t move my body; I am also unable to breath. Fortunately, my consciousness is alright.

What is this, this situation? I can’t use my eyes to look around. A state in which my body won’t listen to my commands, it is awfully scary.

Let’s think about it more carefully. This morning, I was commuting towards the station’s lobby. When the train passed by, I noticed an oba-san on my right who had a very poor complexion. The aunt suddenly crossed the tracks. “Eh?” is what I thought at that time. When I reflexively stretched my hand towards the oba-san, a huge impact hit me. And now, I found myself in this predicament.

If I’m really dead, then everything fits.

My body won’t move; I can’t breath. In this state, I slowly gathered my thoughts. Thanks to studying stocks, I easily stopped dwelling on things too much.

Well, it does not really matter. Now then, if I’m really dead, what should I do from now on? I can think but I cannot move. I wonder if angels and reapers will come and guide me to the next world?

Impossible, at this rate that won’t happen.
